We believe good design thinking thrives when shared, weighed, and examined in company.
Pet Toy Journal is produced in limited print cycles and an open digital library. These guidelines are drafted in good faith to encourage citations, thoughtful discussion, and scholarly quotation without the clutter of cumbersome bureaucratic clearances.
01
How much you may quote
You are welcome to quote up to 150 words from any essay, interview, or dispatch without prior permission. We ask only that the quotation remains unaltered in meaning and context, retaining the tone of quiet observation in which it was written.
02
The byline to keep
Always retain the original contributor’s name, their desk title, and any photographic or workshop credits noted in the dispatch. Our writers and correspondents spend months visiting ateliers and testing material geometry; their byline must accompany every excerpt.
03
The link back
For digital publications, newsletters, and academic notes, please provide a direct, clean hyperlink back to the original URL on Pet Toy Journal. We prefer clear editorial attribution over truncated citation codes or buried anchor text.
04
Photographs are separate
Still-life photographs, workshop bench captures, and portraits appearing in Pet Toy Journal belong to our independent photographers or atelier archives. They may not be reproduced, cropped, or republished independently without written clearance from our Kyoto or Copenhagen desks.
05
