Editorial Principles

Four guiding tenets of our quarterly review

01 · Desks

What we publish

Dog toys, cat toys, small pets and birds, and pieces that cross species. Not product pages. We document the evolution of chewing geometry, unbleached hemp cordage, and quiet domestic acoustics rather than press releases.

02 · Voices

Who writes

Editors and outside writers. Every story has a byline. Field correspondents include timber turners, veterinary behaviorists, material archivists, and independent workshop apprentices.

03 · Archive

How a story lands

It is edited, then kept, and can be found by section, tag, and search. We treat each entry as a permanent dispatch—never superseded by ephemeral news cycles or algorithmic feeds.

04 · Visuals

Pictures

Bright, captioned, and photographic. We only show authentic workshop samples, unhurried morning light, natural fibers, and real companion animals in unchoreographed home settings.
